Welcome to Stella's, Downtown Paducah's NEWEST locally owned Tavern! Located at 202 Broadway in the Historic C.C. Cohen building, Stella's is the perfect place to enjoy inspired cuisine and crafted cocktails in a quintessentially familiar setting.  Featuring elevated comfort food by Chef Casey Broussard.

Chef Casey Broussard

Chef Casey was born and raised in Tampa, FL and grew his passion for great food at an early age.  The dawn of the Food Network was at hand and cooking shows dominated the family television after school in the Broussard household.  Culinary school would be his next stop.

 

He graduated from the Art Institute of Washington in Rosslyn, VA across the Potomac River from our Nation’s Capital.  While working at restaurants in the Dupont Circle and Adams Morgan neighborhoods, Casey was exposed to a high level of cuisine and techniques.  He learned what farm to table was all about, with local farmers delivering fresh meat and produce daily.   

 

Casey eventually took a job in his hometown of Tampa at the legendary Bern’s Steakhouse sister restaurant - Sidebern’s - where globally inspired food and modern techniques were on display with its extensive menu.  He met his wife Megan, a pastry chef and Paducah Native, while working there. 

 

The two eventually decided to make their way to Louisville, KY and quickly found jobs at some of the best restaurants in town: Proof on Main, 610 Magnolia, and Wiltshire Pantry to name a few. Casey has made appearances at the James Beard Foundation and on Secrets of Louisville Chefs.  Two kids, busy schedules, and little family support led the Broussard's to Paducah, KY with family aplenty. 

 

Now with a total of three children in the Paducah City School System, roots are officially down.  Casey is excited to make Stella’s his work home and to bring the passion and skill he has learned throughout his 20+ year culinary career to Downtown Paducah.  Look for big bold flavors, the highest quality ingredients, and inspired seasonal specials from Chef Casey and his talented staff at Stella’s.
